Welcome to Long Hill Township
Long Hill Township is located in the most southern part of Morris County. It includes the communities of Gillette, Stirling, and Millington, each one with a corresponding NJ Transit Train Station. This township is characterized by large tracts of open space, attractive single family residential neighborhoods and townhouses, tree-lined streets and a general absence of large, non-residential land uses. This township is one of the least densely populated and most scenic municipalities in Morris County. The Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge borders Long Hill. With over 7455 acres, the Great Swamp preserves the natural beauty of the environment and offers hiking trails for spectacular bird watching. Stirling Lake Park serves as a community swimming and recreational area with a sandy beach. Long Hill offers other options for outdoor excursions including biking, hiking, and canoeing or kayaking.
