New Providence

Rich in history, the Borough of New Providence dates back to 1720. Today, within its 3.5 square miles, New Providence is a gracious tree-lined community that still cherishes its history, while embracing positive changes. New Providence offers 2 train stations for ease of commuting to NYC. There’s also a robust shopping area and several restaurants. The Borough offers a variety of recreational programs for all ages through its recreation department. There are several parks, a community pool, tennis courts, and Crestview Swim Club available in the area. The Watchung Reservation and Great Swamp Wildlife Refuge are nearby and offer miles of hiking trails.
